Tasting Notes
Thornbury Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2007
Tasting Notes

A classic Marlborough style. The bouquet displays pungent passionfruit and ripe gooseberry aromas. The palate shows excellent balance and intensity of flavour with hints of grapefruit and tropical flavours. This wine is complemented by crisp acidity and length finishing with mouth filling persistence.

Food Match

Enjoy as an aperitif with flavoursome antipasti such as goats feta, olives and sun-dried tomatoes, or try with seafood or vegetarian dishes.

Winemakers Notes

Selected Sauvignon Blanc parcels were chosen and carefully harvested. Fruit was destemmed, gently pressed with a portion given extended skin contact to extract pungent varietal aromas. The juice was cool fermented with selected yeasts to maximise and retain as much varietal flavour and aroma as possible. Lees aging has helped develop the palate weight and further enhanced the intensity and structure of this wine.
